Here I sit in this now empty room My heart stuck on the shelf longing to be held My mind across the oceans vastness trapped with her And in the visions of darkness I see my spirit blur I have called, Emailed, and sent letters by mail But it seems as though my mind will yet remain stale Her beauty is stuck in my mind The tenderness of her touch, the beauty of her eyes The way her hair falls upon her face and the way she smiles I’ve lost her though and I await a reply But it seems as though this like others will only die Die and FADE into a memory that belongs to yesteryear. Oh my darling come back to me Come back to me for I long for you My breath is short without you Can you hear my cries in the middle of the night Do you think of me when you close your eyes When your prayers are said does my names still remain? My darling reply Don’t leave me hang like this For the hangman’s noose sees more comfort than this. Reply |
