In Three Little Words (09/17/02) © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 In the bedtime stories My mother used to read to me, Love conquered everything Endings were always happely. Darling being with you That is where I see us going, Into a fairetale love Don't you see all the sign's showing. Chorus In three little words, I love you, In one short sentence Marry me. You are truely a dream come true, You're the rose I could never be. In three little words, I love you. Verse 2 My dad used to tell me That if a man loves a woman, He should tell her straight out Be the one to take the first stand. I did and here we are Sharing everything life brings, Let me hold your hand for Only then can the angels sing. Chorus In three little words, I love you, In one short sentence Marry me. You are truely a dream come true, You're the rose I could never be. In three little words, I love you Bridge Your a kiss from heaven If I may put it that way, Your the smiling sunshine Within my life every day. And I want to thank you, For always staying true. Chorus In three little words, I love you, In one short sentence Marry me. You are truely a dream come true, You're the rose I could never be. In three little words, I love you |

Not a bad piece of writing here. I don't usually like reading songs, they're better to hear than to read... 'cause I don't know how you'd be singing this. Still, thanks for sharing. Allan [This message has been edited by Allan Riverwood (09-17-2002 02:58 PM).] |

Another great song. As somewhat of a song writer myself I appreciate how hard it actually is to write a good song, one that flows, makes sense and has the ability to be put to music. In all of your songs I can imagine the music. The simplicity of the chorus really hits home and it suits the style of the song, although I, like Alan, have no idea how you'd sing it I can gain a relative idea from the ideas and flow of the writing. Well done. ~I haven't memorized all of the cute things to say but I'm working on it~ |
