A gentle voice Sounding from a distance. A voice I’ve missed For to long it seems. Wishing once again, I could hear it clearly. It’s haunting my dreams, Like clockwork now. Carried by the wind, It slowly reaches my ears. It taunts me, It’s like trying to catch a ghost. I want to hear it say, “I still love you.” I want to hear it slowly whisper, “Be mine, once again.” "It's the way that he makes you feel. It's the way that he kisses you. I'm new here and this is one of the first poems I've read, but out of the ones I have read, yours really has touched me the most. Its such an intimate feeling in lost love and yet it is expressed in such a way that it reaches out and can almost touch any one in a such a personal way. Well Done! |
