A story I will tell you
of lovers far apart
with a love so true
forever joined at heart

A picture you will see
faded and covered with dust
yet through it’s well-worn misery
the eyes yet shine with lust

A man you will meet
a heart all but dead
You’ll walk with his feet
and witness all his dread

A woman you shall know
a hope almost gone
and with her you’ll go
as she tries to carry on

Together they will come
from distant worlds apart
as two become one
together in one heart

With them you shall walk,
through the trials of life,
hear them laugh, cry, and talk
witness great joy and strife

To go with them
you are bidden
as they strive
this story unwritten

Forever I will stand
always here with you.
Now stay and hold my hand
and together we'll go somewhere new.
