It's your birthday
Yet another year gone by
So fast
It blurs like a sandstorm
Fading
In, and out
Like you
I hold something for you
So deep inside
You will never
Find a replacement
But that's what you want
So it's okay right?
I would never dream
Of letting you down
By your side
Forever I stand
Hopelessly devoted
Is that what they call it?
I've grasped my feelings
And held them tight
I'm too afraid
Of what you'd say
So I will stand alone.

You still amaze me with the things you write sometimes, Erica... This was good, I liked it.
