I'm suppose to be on the top looking down,
All i see is confusion on people's faces.
Worried looks and hurt eyes,
My mind wanders to different places.
So how come i'm not improved?
Or even better, how come i'm not cured?
I'm suppose to be numb with delight,
Instead i cant make up my mind and my memories are blurred.
This isnt right...
It's not how it's suppose to be.
I trusted you with my difficulties,
You promised to fix me.
Two years ago i would be thinking with the consciousness i had left,
"I'm not meant to live, I'm not prepared to live in the world".
Now two years later thoughts have drifted on and off,
I sit here and think the same thing, 17 years old.
People are getting irritated to say the least,
Angry and frustrated and tired that they cant kill my inner beast.
They are giving up on me now and are slowly looking away,
They want me to promise them,
I'll be better in a few days.
I just cant do that,
Thats not how this whole thing works.

Standing on the edge of the world
Now I don’t want you to catch me
I want you to let me
Stand up here and walk on my own

oooo, I can relate to this one soo well, especially the end.
I have a friend who expects me to just stop having depression, I couldn't explain to her that it just doesn't work that way.
Your poem did an excellent job of reflecting your emotions.
Perfect.

Aw, Michele... it's good to see you around, and I'm sorry that things still seem to be difficult for you. In a rare moment of wisdom, I'm not going to try and give you advice (even if there were some to give I wouldn't), but if you need to talk to someone who understands, don't hesitate to email me, ok? again
