No matter how much I want to, I can't make myself hate you. But I hate your actions, and the product of your insolance. I remember when I used to look up to you. When you were to me an angel. Floating on air like it was nothing, and you were everything, and you were. But since then, I've seen the truth. Now you've soiled yourself and I can't even glance your way without feeling the pangs of disgust you create. If you think I could hate you, I don't know if I could.. But I hate your attitude and your arrogance toward them. Their your blood, but you dont care, you'd rather see it on the asphalt than alive and well. Don't believe it? Its what you've shown.. its on your lips, its on your breath. Its alive in your rotting heart. Which is pumping reluctantly to an inconstant beat. Your desire is for you and nothing more. You've become the lowest and your comparible to this dirt I tread upon. But if you think I could hate you, your probably wrong. [This message has been edited by Lexy (06-27-2003 04:58 PM).] |

Woah! Very powerful poem. So many emotions jumped out of the computer screen at me. I know somewhat where your coming from with this one. I looked up to and cherished someone who changed, now he is very conceited and arrogant ect. And Im sad to see who he's become, but I will always love the old him. Excellent poem! WinterWren |

thank you so much for the replies. This actually is not about a man. It is about my Aunt and how I used to view her when I was younger. Now I realize that she is disgustingly selfish. I hate her actions, but I could never bring myself to say I hated her. thus, the part about "them" being her blood, and she'd rather see it on the asphalt..ect. she has driven drunk many times with her kids in the car, and its..just all very upsetting, and painful. Unfortunately there are many people in this world that we love, then we learn the truth, and say we hate them, when in our hearts we still love them, this was a very nice poem, that I can really relate to. Nice work ~*~Karen~*~ |

powerful, powerful poem, i know how poeple can be, espically people in your own family, it is hard to tell them sometimes how you feel, just give her this poem, thats what i do i have a prolbem talking to people sometimes so i write something and give to them...but regardless fantastic poem... |
