True visions appear
Through dark clouds
Forming due to emptiness
Clustering to form a hovering reminder
Of times when life meant something
Naive times of my being
When I saw everything clearly
Pure as a gown of white
On a virgin’s wedding day
Sacrificing beliefs
Rituals of the mind
To keep virtue in the eye
Of the one who sees truth
With no blocks, no covers
But sees the world nude
Stripped of everything it stands for
Leaving only the true pains
Of those who suffer
Struggling to get by
On a loaf of bread
And water from the nearby stream
Leaving them outcast
From everything normal
But are any of us normal?
Through the clouds, though
I see a twirling light
I take a deep breath
Proceeding into the darkness
On my last bit of faith
Alone...*
