This is my latest piece, and I appologize to you Marilyn fans about the title. She was just another Young, and pretty face Floating around Manhattan Her eyes were vibrant Full of passion Full of love Yet she never Quite seemed to fit Inside herself, Her head. Voices would talk Continually telling myths That always fell Out of place. Her soul began to wither Rotting away her life. She couldn't eat, Nor sleep, Much less dream About her future. There were too many variables She couldn't find A place for. Except for the pills, The alcohol and drugs, That consumed her. She was just another Pretty face Wandering around aimlessly She was just another Marilyn Monroe. |

I LOVED THIS!!! IT WAS SO WELL SAID AND I THINK ITS SO VERY TRUE. IT DEFENITLY DOES MORE THAN JUST SCRATCH THE SURFACE ON THE SUBJECT OF WHAT YOUR WRITTING ABOUT. THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT POEM. NEVER STOP WRITTING ![]() |

A well done poem that fits the tragic life of a fragile star like Marilyn. Her tragedy may have been started by the fact that her real name was Norma Jean Mortenson. It affected me, and made me think about people who feel as though they cannot be themselves. ^~^If we cannot live so as to be happy, let us least live so as to deserve it.~*~ |
