This is a poem i wrote for an ex that kinda.. broke me. I am afraid and full of confusion Nobody knows why- No one knows a reason I analyze and think, but still so much pain Why am i full of such disdain Ambivalent- Yes But why is this so? You ask me to let you help, but i just don't know Letting you in is much too hard The pain inside, I can't just discard. So many years built up inside So many years worked hard to hide. Please don't even try Just the memories will make me cry. I'm battered abd beaten beneath my skin But don't as me to share the pain that's within For i know the truth and the way that you feel Please, wake me from this dream, it is too surreal. My contempt, my compassion, misery and fear All expressed through one little tear. Or so i'll let you think and believe is true When I could never truely express this to you I'm unable and unwilling to portray the honest me Even if I did there'd be more you would not see So, leave it at this Just leave me alone My heart seems to give my feelings a very good home. "Those who say it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all have obviously never loved." -Affectionately mine |

..sigh..Hey babe! I couldn't have said it better, your emotion rings clear through every line of this poem, heartwrenching and honest. It's beautiful, you have a distinct way with words that gently eases your message across yet leaves you with a powerful meaning. It's marvilous. (wow I cannot spell tonight!) ~Live adn Laugh~ Always strive for excellence never perfection. |
