“Home is where the heart is,”
at least that is what they say.
I never knew if it did really exist;
not until today.

I was lost and confused;
I couldn’t find my way.
I felt used and abused,
and sorrow filled my days.

Forever I felt incomplete,
only a part of what could be more.
To me, it was an impossible feat,
to find that one who I was meant for.

In the depth of my despair,
I heard her cry out loud.
My eyes looked here and there,
and spotted her through the crowd.

What a pitiful sight,
seeing one as lost as I.
What a beautiful sight,
for my hardened eyes.

My hard heart melted,
right then, right there,
and as it melted,
I felt myself begin to care.

She must be a sorceress,
of the ancient magic of love.
Or a heavenly angel,
sent to me from above.

And now we are complete,
together we will find the way.
We’ll never face defeat;
never will there come that day.

“Home is where the heart is”
this I know for sure.
With her is where my heart is
and I could not ask for more!

I know, the punctuation could probably use a little work, so just ignore it, it'll get fixed when I'm awake enough to do it, lol.Well, if it's at all readable to anyone but me, enjoy!

You did an excellent job of this poem, and I am sure it is also one that very many young people can identify with.  I enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful poem. Absolutely beautiful. It IS such a comforting thought to know that you have someone who is always there and will always be. I very much enjoyed reading this. Beautiful work!

I really love this poem, it lives up to what I've come to expect from you.
Well done,
Im so glad you've found someone to make you happy!

I've been wondering if you were ever going to return. I always loved your stuff in the past and this live's up to all of my expectations! Beautiful work, isn't that just the most amazing feeling? Do me a favor and hold on to it while it lasts! I loved the wording and the flow of the poem..sigh.. a guy writing a romantic poem, what more could a girl want?!
