I like the rain, and the taste of your tears on my tongue, the loneliness & confusion seems so far away... as I give way And give in to the sound of raindrops falling... forgetting I was ever me... just being one with the rythm, the sound of the raindops falling... my being slowly fading to oblivion... *** * you can hurt me...with your bare hands,or |

It seems that you have a definite affinity for rain... is there any reason behind that? Is there some aspect of your being that you personally attribute to rain? I think it's a really wonderful theme and it works so well with most of your poetry. Sorry if I've been playing spot-the-theme with some of the poets in here lately, I just can't help it. I really, really like this poem... the title makes it seem like you were sitting down somewhere, and just started writing this out of nowhere. The style of writing also suggests spontaneity. Don't take that the wrong way, I really enjoyed this poem a great deal. I'm starting to really understand your writing, Anawnda. I also want to mention that I was reading a chapter for my World Religion class on Hinduism, and something made me think of you... "Brahman is sat, reality itself; chit, pure consciousness; and ananda, bliss." Is this the meaning of your name? Sorry if that's off-topic. I absolutely adore this poem, great writing, Anawnda. ![]() Parasite Learn to place poetry before people Before you place your poetry before the people. ~Andrey Kneller [This message has been edited by Local Parasite (10-09-2002 03:35 PM).] |
