A little place inside my head

0 posted 2003-05-03 11:56 PM

Her eyes were crossed they say,
A pair of thick glasses on her face,
Her freckles seemed to be out of place,
But on all our school days,
The new girl would smile always.

It didn't matter if you were sad,
Or having a day gone bad,
Or were more than a little mad,
Her smile would be there all days,
The new girl would smile at you,
Always.

They say her teeth were crooked,
They would say her face was too red,
But if they had a bad day,
Her cheerful smile,
Would bring them up,
Always.

So if you got an 'F' on a test,
Or fired from a job,
Remember, her smile would always be there,
To help you get over your dark days,
For her cheerful smile, would help,
Always.

Smile!

Be it in the truest form, or a desperate lack thereof, fail not to understand that the inspiration is love.
