What is a friend?

It's a shoulder to lean on,
when you can't stand up alone.
It's a hand to hold,
when you have trouble on your own.

That dry tissue,
which dries your watery tears,
When you suffer dissapointment,
they're there to encourage you to overcome your fears.

An ear to listen,
when you have a story to tell.
That pat on the pat,
for job done well.

They're your gaurdian angel watching over you,
even while you sleep.
They're your personal body-gaurd,
who will never let you weep.

Going through life without a friend,
you will never be whole.
For a friend is your other half,
that completes your soul.

I wrote this a number of months ago. I was on my way to a poetry reading, when I suddenly began to change the old one. I am very pleased with this one.

Serena, this is nice. I like it! It's rather cute! (And so true) It reminds me of those fowarded e-mails that everyone hates getting...but they think it's utterly cute when they read it. Hehehe, although...I didn't hate this one bit!

The world is good, and nothing bad ever happens!
