Chains

Heavy chain that
I wear so proudly it seems.
Constantly holding me back...
holding me down.

Every step I take
gets harder!
Every road I take
seem longer.

Longer than the last...
I only have myself to blame.
For it was by myself
I've constructed this chain.

Every link I've made
with every decision that I make.
Every decision a reflection
a reflection of mistake!

With every mistake I grow stronger,
and my chain grows longer,
and longer still.
This is my burden
my own personal hell.

This chain I wear...
I wear it well!

Wonderful write.  I take it your into song writting?  Any way, I love the example of the chain and the links being made by mistakes you've made.  Plus you show that your able to live with them and from reading this, you do it very well indeed.  I only found one typo and even it is minor.  Again, wonderful write, I really enjoyed reading this.
