I don't write much anymore if at all for that matter.. but this one I wrote ar work couple days ago... decided to put it up here Forsaken is the heart, That knows no love. Burning is the eyes, That knows no tears Shadows descending, As the light slowly fades. Feeling like a lost child, All alone, all afraid. Tongues as sharp as blades, Cuts with every word, Deep into one's soul, Unleashing what's hidden within. Deep in the recesses, Seeping throught the cracks, The pains, horrors and tortures, Merging as they liberate, Becoming one, growing. The Beast forms, Stronger it is becoming, Feeding on tortures and pains. Feeling the torment inside, That you are losing control. The beast is now raging. Now gone without a trace, The soul is lost, Struggling now to hold on, The mind is slipping away. The beast is taking over. The heart is gone, No love, ice cold. Eyes now blood-shot, The violent battle within, See the devil's work at it's best But now.... The mind submits, All is lost. The mind body and soul, Is now trappen in..... The Insanity of Absalom. This is cool. I like how it kinda rhymes but then again it kinda doesn't. I don't know whether you were going for some kind of rhyme scheme or not, but either way it's still good. Thanks for the read. -Jen |

Amazing poem! I especially love the part about tongues as sharp as blades. Different but excellent poem! WinterWren |
