The sweet teenage dream
filled with long forgotten
and hazy memories
as a young child
life didn't begin until now

So innnocent this youth
thinking themselves to be invinsible
sadly they will learn
that that fact is not so

I draw myself away
from the fact i am still young
I look at life in the bigger picture
objectively
to save myself from harm

Most youth believes
they they know everything
possesing the knowledge
they have long to discover
some learn lifes lesson
the hard way

it's a fine line indeed.

I like the introspective then reflective pace of this.

Nice work Swan.

This is a very neat poem. Being 16 myself...I can relate. And yes, I do think I know everything sometimes, haha. But, I still know I have a lot to learn. I enjoyed this. Nice work.

As I smile at everyone else, I'm dying inside... ~Me
