Love is evil in a new form
and a new face
it's prey consists
of the human race

Despite the different names
the end result
is still the same
pain and anguish

Candy coated razorblades
and honey laced with poisons
Death is a sweet candy
when love's path is chosen

Life is reoccuring pain
when love is introduced
people seek it in vain
even I was seduced

Love is an animal
a venom spitting snake
a creature created
solely for pains sake

I agree...very well expressed

I felt this:

"Candy coated razorblades
and honey laced with poisons"

explained the allure in the face of reasoning of why return to face such pain...

nicely done.

I really enjoyed this one.
I think everyone feels this way at least once in their life.
The line, "Candy coated razorblades" really jumped out at me.

Wow, I'm sensing some anger!! No seriously though, well written I couldn't have said it better myself and I unfortunatly know well the feelings expressed in the poem..Great use of words to get your point across and wonderfull imagery. Another winner from you thanks for the read.
