I saw her as something great,
precious, flawless, and pure..
Until I saw her through clear eyes,
unobscured by infatuation.

True vision.

Her words dont effect me,
like they once had.
Dull and mild..
like everyone else.

True audience.

Her aroma of innocence
now shrouded in cigarette smoke.
Like the common masses..
Quite ordinary.

True scent.

I cannot savor what we had,
not after what shes done.
It was all tainted,
with pain and hurt.

True flavor.

When I hold her now
shes but a person.
A normal everyday someone.
Just a face, like the rest.

True feeling.

Alex, I REALLY liked this poem...I think it's one of the best I've ever read from you.
