Can’t figure out why I stand in the rain while they run for the shelter of playing the game, peeking over their shoulders with questioning stares: “Can’t he see that there’s nothing to offer him there?” And the water beads down over forehead and eyes giving teardrops an adequate look of disguise for a heart always tired, unable to run to the shelter of all those awaiting the sun. |
