I just realized something! Lately I've been writing sad poems, although I'm not too sad, so I've decided to write a bit of a happier one! Tell me what ya think! Thanks
---------------------------
Born into the world, with a slap and a cry
You loved me from birth, and you didn't have to try
Although I was rough at times, you held a flame to my heart
Sometimes you were furious, yet you never wanted to grow apart
Life was hard on all of us, yet you stayed when she left us alone
I never take the time, I never appreciate your voice on the phone
Now it's time to acknowledge, it's time to recognize
All your rules and grounding, is love in disguise
Today is my special day, we're supposed to celebrate 17 years of life
Yet I feel like we should be celebrating you helping me through the strife

Thank you Dad, for helping me get this far

That was sooo cute! Awww, I don't have a recognition of my father's love...yet! Maybe I will do that one next. I liked this a lot, but I am getting tired of the rhyming...that's just me though.

I think you did a great job putting your Dad in the spotlight.
