Oh, joy!
The Piano is a playin’
And the church bells, they are a swayin’
Oh, joy!
The people are about,
To celebrate their precious day of days

Oh, sweet melody
Where have you gone?
Drowned out screaming vocals,
It’s all now been overdone
Oh, sweet melody
Please sing me a sweet song

Oh, how sad it is,
To see that man down there
His whole life ahead of him,
I’ve never seen a man as bright as him,
Oh, how sad it is,
Sing a sad, sad song,
About the tragedy he could not over come

JOY!
It was a joyous day
DOOM!
He wasted his whole life away
So sing me a sweet yet tragic song,
For the man who was once married,
But has since been declared long gone

And the church bells,
They’re still ringin’
And the people,
Their heads are a hangin
So sing me a sweet yet tragic song
For the man who just couldn’t hold on
