This is a good question....WHY??? Can anyone actually answer it...'tis hard... Why Can't the world Just live In peace and harmony No more fighting No angry words No more Painful tears Why Must everyone Live in fear For their lives Doors must Stay locked Windows Sealed shut Who is out there Left to trust? Why Do we live In such a place Where murder Destruction And rape Lurk around Every corner No where is safe Why Is there abuse In relationships Every day Hitting Punching Nasty names The world should not Be this way Why Thirty years ago Could my parents Sleep with their Doors wide open Trusting strangers Not to enter? Back then It seemed It was safe enough To do anything Why Is this world So corrupt? Full of hatred And deception Lies and Treachery And no matter What I do Everywhere I turn And everywhere I go Evil Somehow follows me Waiting To damage My delicate mind With its Malevolence And deceit |
