a little girl swings from a tree
her hair blowing in the breeze
her curious mind begins to wander
as she thinks of something to ask the trees

and this is what she asks.........

how can you stand so strong
yet in the night you seem to cry
she didnt think that they would answer
but this was their reply

have you ever just swayed in breeze
with the feel of the wind within your soul
emotions flowing as rough as the seas
know one day that you could make your heart whole

all this was to much for her young mind
she tried so hard to remember all the things compared
as the trees watched the wheels turn in her head
all they came to see was a blank stare

she decided to ask her question again
she was determined to understand the reply
the trees, understanding that they were dealing with a child
decided to give it one more try

rewording their answer, they tried once again
and this is what they said:

have you ever felt wild and free
and that nature is all you live for
yet you also feel a longing
a longing for something much more

in the winter we have a longing for sun
this is why you hear us cry
yet in the summer we long for fall
when our colors are personified

so when you see us standing tall
it shows that we are wild and free
yet when you her us crying
just know that we are saying..........

THAT YOU CAN ALWAYS COME TO THE TREES

I like this one alot too!! Dang, I don't know which one I like better, this or the last one I just replied to.
They're both soo good! You really have alot of talent. I enjoy your work alot.

liked this poem alot i read it
cuz uv the title but im really
glad i red it cuz it was really good.
