A beautiful siren sits alone Weaving her sad song through the clouds They come running, All the men who hear her call To fall at her feet Wishing for just one touch. All except the one she wants The one for whom she sings He doesn't hear her song. She doesn't want him to fall, She just wants him to stand by her side To share with each other the things they've seen in life. But he doesn't hear, And her song gets sadder still. Finally he looks her way Only to turn his back and walk away She gets up from her throne of mourning To dance in her showers of pain. No this isn't about me, it's sortof about a friend of mine. Man, I write a sad one and you love it, and you write an even sadder one and I love it. I really like this one. I feel this way sometimes...except for the other men falling at my feet... that never happens...lol Hope your friend's situation gets better! Have a wonderful day! Yes there will be tommorrow, but will you be there to greet it? |

I've always been drawn to the story of the sirens and their mysterious allure. They're always portrayed as evil creatures though who woo seamen to their doom, and I've never read or seen anything written from their point of view. This was beautifully done.. and going straight into my library! The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |

Sad, romantic types, aren't we? I'm back again and this is something nice for me to return to. Well done. Love conquers all, so I must be in a losing battle. |

Well, I don't know what to say but that I loved this. It's kinda how I feel often enough, but than again, my name says it all, dosen't it? I'd feel sorry for your friend, but to give pity is to insult them, so I'll just say I'm sorry things like that happen to anyone. The past year was like that for me somewhat. We are the sad romantic types, this I cannot deny. *~Rich~* "You can't hurt meee!! 'Cause I've got on my cheeeeese helmet!" |

I liked this, as I do many of your works. Easy to read and easy to understand...(That doesn't happen much for me..I get confused..ask anyone.) I liked how you were able to write about a friend, I can't do taht. It's gotta be about what I'm thinkin or doing...something I like...Good jkob....See ya! ~*~Kirah~*~ PS...putting in me library. :-) *Mistakes are made, you pay for them, then you do it again.* |
