Your Guitar |

I am your guitar, playing you songs for her you care so little for me and you pluck these strings so carelessly that sometimes my nylons give out. And you just think its so easy; you, with your floppy hair- to replace them with new one's and you think I still sound the same. You barely notice how sometimes I let you play my songs for you, but you think they're yours and you play them for her, while these strings weaken with each melody and the pain flows deeper than those dark-brown eyes. You will never know me because for you I am just a guitar you so carelessly pick-up and play my songs you give to her. *** * you can hurt me...with your bare hands,or you can hurt me using the sharp edge of what you said.....* jewel kilcher [This message has been edited by anawnda (12-26-2002 01:01 AM).] |

That was very good, I like how you compared yourself to a guitar. Very good. WinterWren |

Wow, I liked that a lot and it fit perfectly; you and the guitar...just perfect. Great work!! Laura "All that I desire to point out is the general principle that Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life." |

What? I forgot to reply to this one? Well damn... sorry about that. Here's a healthy bump. Although this is probably belated to the point where it's not true, it's great to see you posting here again. I like and understand the feeling of having your own words and emotions reused by their intended audience, to the point where it feels like you're being betrayed by your own words... playing the songs you've written for him, for someone else. It's rough. If that's the case, you can do better than him. Lovely writing... congratulations on your singing for a band. Send me some mp3s sometime.
