" 303 " ( 26/12/02) © 2002 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 Ancient city tower clock strikes twelfe. Old man park on a bench for the night. Next door two women's put on display. As I pass yet another street light On my way home... A black out on this one city block. Strangest of people start to arise. A scared little kitten's afraid to move. Can hear a baby's "I want food" cries. On my way home... On my way home...To my, Refrain 5th floor apartment number 303. With the red door and tiny balcony. Where you can glimpse most of this small city. 5th floor apartment number 303. Verse 2 News stand guy yells headlines from today. A mother's running late with her kid. Old lady's driving a battered car. Passing a snobbed man thinking he's rich. Going to work... The crowd's begun filling out the street. Sunrise is battleling off the night. Cars are packing up just like tuna. Watch a tour bus with a no good guide. Going to work... Going to work...From my, Refrain 5th floor apartment number 303. With the red door and tiny balcony. Where you can glimpse most of this small city. 5th floor apartment number 303. |

I really liked this one too Brian; very specific, yet something everyone can relate to no matter where they live. ![]() The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears. |
