We sat alone, he held my hand
He told me he was my man...
I asked him why he loved me.
I asked him if he's true.
And he said "These are the reasons,
The reasons I love you...

One- because you're smile
Gives me butterflies

Two, you light up a room
With the sparkle in your eyes.

Three, your voice is tender
And I can taste it it's so sweet.

Four, because you bring such joy
To everyone you meet.

Five, because your giggle
Makes my words worthwhile.

Six, because you always know
Just how to make me smile.

Seven, because your touch
Sends shivers down my spine.

Eight, because I love to know
That you are all mine.

Nine, because you're beautiful
From your head to your toes
And you don't seem to notice
Though everyone knows..."

Then he made a promise
And since, he's kept it true
"Ten- Because there's nothing
I love more than loving you."

awwww this is so sweet. my last bf said something like that to me. the poem flows really well and the rhyme scheme doesn't sound forced.

Hey this was really cute.It reminded me of that one song by Brian McNight "1,2,3" Its a good song just like this poem! Keep it up!
