Have you ever wondered what happened to opinions? They are never discussed any more Deviate from the norm and you become instantly invisible Your words becoming ghosts haunting no one Floating helplessly in your own confusion of such isolation Try to change something today and you must die for it Only then will the media acknowledge a problem Trying to make some sort of sense of it Of what would drive some to this extreme point In society outlets for communication must be met Frustrations must be heard in open forums Attitudes must differ while conformity is restricted Otherwise the extremes of reaction boil over To argue a person’s points is a good process Where change is initiated by the thought process Only under investigation Will the foundations of a free press flourish? Otherwise it will corrode in a controlled state of decay Why must we all now think in the same way That is how newspapers play us They never let us offer the readers opinions Just an editor’s opinion that is shacked By the powers to be Much like a Federal Reserve System The nation is slowly conforming to mind control Where the media is not for free thinking But under corporate like control Of stereotyping a induced way of living If the music in our lives has so much variety That no one would dare to change it Except some religious zealots with Iranian attitudes Why does my thinking have to be controlled? It is sad to say But my words may have a bigger impact beyond me Where people analyze history in a factual way By the people who make free thinking live On someone stumbling on a poets thoughts D.Lester Young (08/31/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) |

Maybe you need to get in differeent crowds when you want to debate, hehe, the Pharisees and Saducees relished such, I'm sure there are plenty who like this much. Like politicians, barbers and bartenders. Oh, wait, I think bartenders are the listeners. You are really good at making your point, D., have you ever thought of joining "Toastmasters?" Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

hey- keep throwing your voice out into the rampant stagnation of ignorance our country appears to be submerged in. there is only one way out of this calamity of stupification.. and that is AWARENESS. Voices such as yours reaching critical mass will overthrow this SH*T. thank you. O' to be delivered from the realm of the rational into pure song... |
