I'm trying to calm, that old beast within, that's trying so hard, to break free. You can't know, what a struggle it's been and it just, won't let me be. It makes me rebel against everything. I won't even, believe what I see. It makes me believe, that nobody cares, And it stirs up, the loneliness in me. Unwanted, unloved and rejected. That's what it makes me believe. There's nothing to prove the beast wrong. At least nothing that I can perceive. Give me some time, to get it settled. I've had to sooth it, many times in the past. It does have a name, I call * Reality.*.. but it leaves me feeling unsurpassed. * That which gives light, must endure burning * |

If only we could slay our dragons or at least tame them so that they don't get the best of us. I felt your words as if they were my own. Poetry is a powerful expression and you've served them well. Enjoyed your poem Kitty~ |
