Faded Sometimes I wonder who I am, why I am and what will become of me. The sting of words written is at times worse than what is heard, as I can read them over and over and even if they don't ring true, they reverberate until they take me down in their fade. The truth is the truth no matter through whose eyes it is seen, no matter whose lips sound it out. A part of me can never forget. A part of me wishes to be able to let it go... let it fade into the wind that is at my back, pressing me on. I will fade into these blue pages, no more rhymes, no more lines of in between. My rhythm now, will be the sound of my heart beating for these ears only and the words I speak through keys will be for my eyes only, until my truth rises again. until the beat of heart bangs true for the owner it cannot ring truth for another Sweet Maureen, when you write of inspiration, and not disappointment, no one can touch your talent. and one of your greatest talents is making friends, and making smiles. jeff |
