A moment of loss, in time Will be considered in rhyme, with life A harmonious glimpse if you listen To the tales of heart Hidden, yet written. I wish I could touch my mother’s face A grace for a Stolen life ‘Blessed be the glory of sins erased’, (calls a voice from a rarer place) For knowledge is faith of a Legacy inherit Within the shrouds of falter and merit Are the ardent flames which consume And build temples inside For the blood that burns my heart holy Sanctifies the memory of a life not lived in vain. There’s sacredness in all The profane and the profound The insane and the rational The rare and the mundane The genius and the idiocy The meek and the mighty The sun and the black hole The cancer and my mother… Yes. There’s even glory in death. The moment is at hand. The rhymes of life are giving you her glories. Don’t forget to breathe and know that you are loved. A lesson learned is burned into my heart indelible. Live for this moment Seize it and hold it Find your soul in it And render it golden For sacred surrenders Are moments of eternity asunder ...and Found. |

Absolutely superb writing and imaging. There are so many places this piece grabbed this reader. I do wonder about one thing, did you actually mean "inherent" in the following stanza, rather than "inherit" or is it a bit of a pun to go with "legacy?" wish I could touch my mother’s face A grace for a Stolen life ‘Blessed be the glory of sins erased’, (calls a voice from a rarer place) For knowledge is faith of a Legacy inherit Within the shrouds of falter and merit Are the ardent flames which consume And build temples inside For the blood that burns my heart holy Sanctifies the memory of a life not lived in vain. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Thanks for your comments. And yes, the 'inherit' was intentional... all I can say is to live gratitude is to touch Heaven... O' to be delivered from the realm of the rational into pure song... |

manisha this poem a is look inside your heart i feel almost unworthy to read. your mothers a happy happy person now. dont worry. :-) This poem deserves more replies. Life is a lonely journey to, and a heavy-hearted departure from three words. I LOVE YOU |

I know this story... and the subsequent glory... thank you, I know this was painful, but you inherited her grace, as well... |
