A STORM IS COMING |

A storm is coming; I can feel it in the air. There is a sense of anticipation in the stillness. Gathering clouds are beginning to swirl in the darkening sky as the warm air rushes in to fill the void. Flashes of lightening streak the charged atmosphere followed by the deafening roar of the thunder that reverberates within my chest. As the firmament unleashes its formidable power, I feel so small. Within moments the skies open up releasing heaven's pent-up tears. The parched land drinks deeply as its life is renewed. With the churning of the soil, comes a familiar earthy fragrance that fills the night air. The cooling rain brings relief from the oppressive heat of this sweltering summers's day. Dried riverbeds begin to flow with the enervating forces of the storm and nature is in balance once more. |

I love the way the scales of nature balance the world; you did this well. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

(big hugggssssss) Oh Linda, this is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, I only wish all the world could rain like this so the land can continue to sparkle with life and forever sing with sparrows songs! (sigh) This is wonderfully said, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! A beautifully written poem, Linda... and some great wishful thinking... Oh how we need the rain! It rained buckets here last weekend, but we have had so little all summer that I don't think it did much good... Keep up that wishful thinking though... ~ hugs from a chipmunk hoping for rain Lyra |
