how is it that
my eyes work fine
yet, I am still
blind?

I never aimed at reality; I aimed at truth. --Orson Welles

Yep, I know the feeling well. My glasses work great, but still I am blind to so many things. Nice poem. Short and to the point. Great for me, cause at my age, the attention span isn't so good either.

Touch me with your whispers,
and I'll listen with my heart.

Wow! What a powerful piece and yet so brief...finely crafted, Sir.  Love One Arm's response, too, full of wisdome. He must be older.
White Rose's response is great, too, but maybe a little too close to home.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Ah...but could we see half of what we see with our hearts through our eyes, there'd be no need for corective lenses

Just make sure the glasses you put on
aren't rose-tinted.

I think that most of us are blind to what we really do see right in front of us, Brian...
I guess we don't see what we see...
I really loved your poem...

Thanks, Brian, for your words of wisdom. Sometimes we only see what we want to see....

And sometimes we see, but don't say that we do..does keeping silent make the vision any less real? Does seeing but not saying justify the silence? Sometimes it's those who close their eyes that see the most because they are wise enough to speak of it.
