Thou art the breath of wind on summer's day The touch of grace that fills me with desire The one who stands to wait and come what may The darling one who fills my heart with fire Thou art more precious than the wine in cup The one for which my eyes alight anew Thou art the gift of life in blessed sup The one who shows a heart good, pure and true Thou art the gift of God in grace to me The one who knows the turning of the road Thy precious eyes of love I turn to see More blue than sky made by the mustard woad Thou art the sun, the earth, the rain the sky Thou art my love revealed in heartfelt sigh Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Kethry, I once tried to compose a sonnet As done by the finest of poets I have to ponder upon it Quite a bit even though it's Simple to write one I've heard Fourteen lines in all The first line rhymes with the third The second and fourth should fall In rhymes in such a way That a-b-a-b, etc. So on and so forth to say Whatever the thought is to be But in never turns out like I want it So what the hell-pissonet! \ Kethry, a job well done...I'm just to the point where I can make rhymes every now and then... Lovely Kethry!! Enjoyed. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Kethry, Although the ability to write a sonnet has eluded me, I am glad to see it captured by such a beautiful pen. Well done, indeed. Jason Daniels Practiced in the Art of Perception... |

Beautiful... just beautiful, Keth... I have never written a sonnet although I understand the mechanics of it... I think that I am just not good at structuring things... I notice that I am like this in real life as well... An excellent job, you did with this. ~ hugs and applause Lyra |

Keth beloved heart sister and soul’s delight, who gathers the song of the morning and sprinkling it with rainbow’s light serves it to me dressed in such an elegant style The write of sigh within the thought The flow of touch that love had bought Within the line that’s written here There is no night that I do fear The thought it glows within hope’s light Illumes the mind and clears the sight Releases truth to flutter free Which once released, flies to me And I am cleansed by such a gift The words you write inspire and lift The flow of love that touches me Writes my sigh and sets me free This touch of truth your written sigh The touch of such I feel it’s nigh Wonderful beautiful writing beloved heart you know I love it utterly utterly Love and warm stuff As always Slushy Breathe through the heat of our desire |

I believe that the sonnet is one of the purest forms of poetry. I find that writing within the confines of a given format such as this stretches us, hones our skills and makes us grow as poets. Not only do I enjoy writing sonnets, I enjoy reading them as well---and yours is no exception! Well done! |
