August 26 Today I'm in a different world and place. So far away with many faces I don't know. It feels that I am floating into space. I could possibly run into a friend or foe. Going to class, hoping not to fall on my face. Walking into the class of 200, I think "Oh, no" I pull up at the bike rack, but there is no space. What friends will I meet and what will they think of me so? Looking around at campus, I don't see a familiar face. The professor goes on and on as I sink into my seat lower. I run to my dorm room, leaving my books behind as a trace. Shoudl I party and be a rebel like Tom Sawyer? The next morning, I wake up early at seis. When I grow up, do I want to be a doctor or a lawyer? I begin to wonder if I am going to like this place. Thank you for visiting my poetry. |

Give it time, give it time. I understand the trepidation, but trust me, you shall live through it, and in style, with CLASS! |

Boy do I remember that day oh so well! Now, hang in there even though it's hard, and please come back and write some more on how things are turning out, as I know what my ending was but want to hear yours I enjoyed this and it's great to write out fears of any kind so your poem is a great example to others, great job! The most valuable thing you own is a smile, wear it, and share it. Sharon |
