you poets are setting my mind on fire with punny stuff

Sweet Whippoorwill

Oh sweet whippoorwill
I trust your whispers will
soothe my soul
by the songs you sing
elate my heart
by the thoughts you bring
and ease me through the day.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia, it is always so pleasant to know that someone shares their love of nature...it being all around us, one would think we would write more of nature, than of love...

one would think.

Very nice!
