Caress Of My Heart |

You are the axis on which my love spins, The of which my affection is woven, If my desire for you be counted as sin, Then a hell have I gladly chosen. Had I a mastery of words at my command, And in writing your graces persue, Futile would my herculean efforts stand, For they still could not bring you due. Roses budding on your cheeks, Cherry blossoms upon your lips, No matter how tenderly parted, May words never aspire to kiss. Void of the charm of your smile, Bereft of your loving caress, Are my inscriptions which cannot describe, The fervour that burns in my chest. As an abundant fountain of enrichment, Is your elegance that my writings would fail, For regardless of how potent my descriptions, In your presence are they rendered frail. Were you a song i'd sing you forever, If you were an ocean i'd swim you eternally, Gently parting your waves till I tire, And your raging love consumes me. To a depth that cannot be fathomed, To a place that cannot be denied, Where I lay in the warmth of your bosom, With a taste of forever, our souls intertwined. Many lifetimes would my spirit endure, In want of a glimpse of your favour, Love and beauty shall die eons before, The chambers of my heart cease yearning your savour. I have seen many lures that intrigue me, Yet rather than stray shall I gouge out an eye, So before I marvel this world without your beauty, I would see you and be to everything else blind. Many things have I yet to tell you, God forbid the event that we part, I pray that time cast a spell on you, That you never forget the caress of my heart. Gabriel This passionate poem sounds like love to me. I hope it continues to bring you such pleasure of words. I agree with the Chipmunk on the font, and I think it would also read a bit easier if it was broken up into stanzas. I enjoyed the read...thank you. |
