Years ago, when life began for me on the internet.. I found out I could write to folks that I had never met. Scared as I was I pressed on in search of a friend or two.. Never really understanding what I was suppose to do. I heard of freaks and porno sites and, people who could do me harm.. But, scared as I was I "walked" on.. and, someone took me by the arm. I found a place where people laughed and, had some wonderful fun But, were these people all insane.. or, was I the only one? Could I trust them.. were they friends .. could I tell them my REAL name? I soon found out they were my friends.. and, my life would never be the same. I write these words in praise of those days ..when things were all so "new".. And, to those who really made me laugh and taught me a thing or two. I also write to thank the ones that are still with me here today.. With a special thought to those others who have now passed away. I've heard it said you should not miss the chance to tell someone you care.. Because tomorrow may never come along and, they might not be there. So, to those of you who still take me by the arm and make me laugh .. I say... Thank you for being a part of my life..you've changed it in a special way. |

I like this very much. *S* The internet may be a great opportunity for some to fake and fool... but I've had the good fortune to meet some wonderful people through it... and while I wish I could have avoided a few of those acting types, I'm grateful for it... the cherished outnumber the chaff. *S* Welcome to Passions!!! You have choosen the right path That ended in the blue pages here You'll find a circle full of friends And become addicted like us I fear Welcome Scarlet, and whenever one dares to lay a word (poeticly speaking) on you, just holler and you'll be surprised how many will come to your rescue. awwww ... so sweet!! nice write... i dig the meter and rhyme and sentiments... good job! i hate to tell you, though....this internet thing isn't real.. it's a buncha hype... there's really only about 25 people in the world who use the net at all and one of them is you... the others just pretend to be a whole lot of different people... no kidding! soooo when you sit there IMing and zapping emails and photos and all that good stuff, keep this in mind  |

Welcome to Passions and I do hope you enjoy your stay here. As to life on the internet, you must chose wisely and trust your heart. Unfortunately my own experiences on the net have proven that not all are who they seem to be and many times are more than just one person.
