The Best Gift Bag Of All ~*~ Once when I was sixteen I tried a weird drug, and prayed to God to help me through the night. I promised I’d never do it again. I never did. Once there was a dog that ate my sons Twinkies, as he fished on a river bank. I laughed so much, I could barely get my breath. Once my grandma took me fishing, and with her oversized straw hat draped on her head, she sat on a bucket with a wooden fishing pole, in each feeble hand. I took a picture, but lost it long ago. Once I got married but couldn’t fall in love, so I left that man after many lonely years. Once I searched for my very first love and found him, then lost him, and thought I’d never smile again. Once I became a grandma and wondered, at the wonder of it all. And I've come to realize, that life, is the best gift bag of all. ~*~ BloomingRose [This message has been edited by BloomingRose (10-11-2002 10:15 PM).] |

(sigh) Oh Debra, this is so very true, sweet friend, and sometimes we may pull out unpleasant things but there will always be special suprises of joy that will come for you always for certain! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderfully wise, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Debra, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
