‘Nothing matters, nothing else matters’ He tried to tell himself ‘Doesn’t matter, doesn’t even matter’ Tries to sell himself But he cannot change truth As much as return to youth The fire has dimmed Down to shadows of remember And the ashes barely glow, Their heat about to silence forever No more fuel upon the hearth And his embers all fading to grey Waiting for the flue to open again To watch his ashes be blown away ‘Something remains, somehow, something remains’ He tells himself ‘It should remain, it just must remain’ Affirming to himself Ashes to ashes, dust to dust Is life in the end, he remembers, Yet life still exists wherever There’s a fire left within the embers |

(smiles) Yes, the fire burns on and may he find all the happiness his heart deserves so much as hope never dies! (big hugggssssss) This is excelent, sweet friend, I just love the powerful thoughts you portray in poetry, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Magician, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Very nicely done. Enjoyed. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

Magician~ This is just poignantly lovely~ 'The fire has dimmed Down to shadows of remember' How those 'shadows of remember' can be touched by the softest breeze of new life ... and present us with a warming fire of recall~ Lovely thoughts~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I love this one! I have a place in my heart for woodfires, I do like the comparison you've made, the way you've written the concept. |

Ah yes, embers do still glow for loved ones remembered. Very sweetly done my friend, filled with love, remembering and the warmth that rememberance brings. |
