Songs From My Heart The fragile beauty of a bloom My soul inhales, my eyes consume To form the songs of floral plume The vibrant colors in disguise Unclothe their wrap to summer skies Then turn toward me and kiss my eyes Soft velvet petals bathe my skin Like painted wings, so frail and thin And stir a melody within A spectrum’s hues enchant my sight And smother me with fresh delight Of secrets harbored in the night At dawn sweet blooms arise and swell From hungry eyes to spirit’s well Where verses in their silence dwell Aromas settle deep within To pleasure’s depths so softly spin The smell of nature’s living kin I hear the silent splendor part Fulfilling longings of my heart From which the melodies depart The lily petals slowly bend Caressing me, they ooze and wend Like honey from my poet pen My soul is sister to the call Of nature’s splendors that befall My heart, the captive of it all Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (10-10-2002 04:59 PM).] |

Liz...splendid, simply splendid my dear friend. If I might be so bold as to make one comment though: I had a problem in the flow while reading the one line Like honey out my poet pen perhaps I might offer up the suggestion of Like honey from my poet pen otherwise, it reads magnificent like the author herself Hugs |

Heart songs are always the best. This form is well structured and flows well. Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |
