She walks through the garden, flowers turn As if she were made of sunlight Petals open to welcome her in, she smiles her obsequious smile to their blind affection She brings light to the days of grey Calming the autumn storms. The warmth within her melts the snow When winter comes She is my June, all year long Bathing my days with sunny skies A gentle breeze, her breath Tranquility unfurlled as her name was spoken She simply said, "I am summer" Hey dog, did you see the size of that chicken!? |

Thanks Sunshine! This actually started out as a joke. I was watching a movie with my wonderful girlfriend the other night, and I thought I'd be a little silly. I leaned close and said to her, "Hey beautiful, what's your name?" All she did was smile at me and say, "I am summer" I think she was possessed by my muse at the moment.  Kris Hey dog, did you see the size of that chicken!? |
