In the palm of his hand sparkled brightly this gem
Held wide open and outright, carried out to the glen
And surrounded by magic in the colors of fall
Stood the harvest clad sentries in full view one and all

In the moments enchanted stood this prince and princess
Full of wonder and hopeful, so wide-eyed with impress
And they stood close together in the sound of the sun
Taking in the surroundings, sharing gleefully done

In the palm of his hand to remain of her own
Giving all of romance, to spring forth and be shown
And she touched him so deeply by this moment in time
As they stood there together in this setting sublime

In his eyes filled her image, translucent and pure
Full of all of the truths he had been searching for
And she kissed him so softly in the dew of the day
Taking all of his fears cast to past far away

In the palm of his hand filled the tears that they cried
Giving all to each other, every rush undenied
And together they lay in the meadow through night
As the autumn cooled slightly, every joy with delight

vivid!!!

love the line about romance springing forth

couple lines could be adjusted to keep the meter running

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

I always like how you sneak these posts
in before I get home.....while part of
the rest of the world is AT WORK....But
I am sure that won't remain forever...

Nicely romantic harvest in the fall of year
when the nights cool...yet romance warms
and blooms.....

Very beautiful Kathleen.  So soft and lovely...

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...
