Measure for Measure

Tasted memories, a tongue's delight
best habits are seen in dimmed light
Under summer canopy, a season brief
For once was joy, and now is grief.

A million accidents, I am none the wiser
A victim of chance, a happiness miser
For how can we know, how green is the grass
when life is looked through undusted glass

But time marches on, without losing a step
We still touch souls, so carefully we crept
A rich man, I am: your friendship I treasure
Always by your side:Measure for Measure.

Some friendships are just that,
they weather the storm and come out of it in tact after all that's been said and done~
