If I were but a poet, and you my fairest rose, I'd rhyme a rhyme of love sublime, to you my heart disclose, I'd gently take your hand in mine, kneel down on bended knee, And pledge to you my ever love, for all eternity, For you fair rose are poetry, of thee I do imbibe, To sate my fire, thy nectar sweet, doth on my heart inscribe, Sonnets of fair Terpsichore, as touch of midnight's breeze, Within my soul, thou beauteous charms, doth calm my raging seas, Beneath night's sky in Luna's glow, we shall as one embrace, As I take you in my arms, and kiss thy goddess face, We'll meld as one in one true love, encaptured in the rhyme, If I were but a poet, and could rhyme a rhyme sublime. If I were a judge, I would render this a most perfect heartfelt petition that the fairest of the Fairest Rose receive this heart's rendition... [This message has been edited by Sunshine (10-08-2002 08:51 PM).] |

Tim this is beatiful and I wish you had written it for me. :-) Stunning rhyme and sentiment ... Marti Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. |

Tim, if you "were but a poet"??? This is so beautiful and I'm quite sure that your "fair rose" thinks so, too. Beat Wishes With Love To All, Ethel....garysgirl |
