While You Sleep:Dream

In a peaceless slumber, lies the golden heart
In wait for a mate, to share a dew fresh start
My love for you, is the kiss that awakens
My future is blessed and yours for the taking.

Like a crumbling dry cake, you fall apart
Such tears of joy, stirs the frozen heart
Dream on, my love, until they become real
Dreaming awake, where desire's never still.

Just a pressing of lips, unto avid spirit
Spells of excitation, our wills to submit
Contentedly wooed, I gaze as you sleep
Starved for your passion, wondrous and deep

Bear not the pain from which we're taught
Bear not suffering, only truth shall be fraught
Never again, shall you make a friend of alone
Never quenched is a prophecy foreshown

A seamstress of dreams, and all she adores
Sewed and prepared, my lifefood is yours.
Fleeting remembrances, fade as you awake
I wait in our dreams, my soul for to take.

Jeff, I loved this poem. Like Enchantress I am also much of a "hopeless romantic". I hope your "inspiration" appreciates this. Sounds like you have experienced the "true love" like Gary and I are enjoying. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us.
