this poem tries to communicate how i felt after my ex-girlfriend at the time, and still, told me she was pregnant. in the end we both decided to have an abortion cos we couldnt see ourselves caring for the child the way we thought they would deserve...plus our relationship was over which jus would have made it even worse, yet everyday i regret it... i lost a piece of my heart that one day in march i left it behind somewhere in a park where a child plays and has a happy smile and sees his father, who knows his life was worthwhile he created a life, from the very thing of beings a miracle to me, or so it seems so easy to take away, so easy to make so hard to decide, when its a mistake i made my decision, she made hers it just so happens, our decisions concurred every day it makes me sad that we took away the one who could call me dad Though dreams can be deceiving |

It's good for us to see this issue through the eyes of a man. It really does affect both people involved very deeply. Thank you for posting this here, mpt... ![]() |

A most difficult subject presented with such tenderness of heart. I hope someday you will hear that word, dad. |

I could feel the emotion you put in this poem. It was a very good write. Cold hands means a warm heart |

MPT, my heart goes out to you. I could feel so much grief in your words. You expresed this very well in this poem. I, too, hope that you will hear the word "Dad" someday. With Love And Best Wishes Ethel |
