Relentless heat bears down Another detour to nowhere. Paradise radio spills static. And the breaking news sings worn out blues, once again. Exhaust chokes the air While people become exhausted Another pothole sends a truck and trailer veering. Life in the fast lane Roads beyond repair Lives at a screeching halt Brake lights red for miles Tempers burn steady. Horns blare at nobody… …Anybody in particular oil light begins to shine no help anywhere offering one last commuter prayer. Poetry is: Passion, imagination and intellect running together. Aloha with warmest regards, Cheryl Stewart Koomoa [This message has been edited by CSKpoet (10-07-2002 09:46 PM).] |

Cheryl, VERY, VERY good, again. Sounds like there was trouble in paradise today.....like a BIGGGG traffic jam. Enjoyed your work, as usual. love, Ethel [This message has been edited by garysgirl (10-07-2002 10:47 PM).] |
