MY NEW FAMILY OF  FRIENDS

I am so
glad I've met
my new FAMILY  OF
FRIENDS....
The joy
I'm receiving
just has no end

You all
are so sweet,
compassionate
and kind....
Some of
the greatest people
that anyone could find

You write of your
hurt, of your joy
and your wonder....
Some of your
secrets even slip
out for others to ponder

Poets write
of the seasons,
the stars and
the moon....
In some they paint
pictures with words
and in some sing a
sweet tune

When a new
person appears on
this site....
You all welcome
him or her with
such delight

You all are
so patient when
the new ones make
mistakes....
You very gently help
each other along
with the words it
may take

So I thank
you one and all
for helping me
along....
Maybe one day
I can write all of
you a song

I love you
all and thank you
for your welcomes
to me....
My new FAMILY  OF
FRIENDS, I hope a
long time to see

Ethel, what a sweetheart you are!
Liked the poem, expressing what you think and feel. Very nice, and don't ever apologize like that again. It was "just fine", what you said and how you said..  oh, forgive me, didn't mean to sound like your mother

Hello Ethel

This was such a wonderful outpouring of love and was extremely heartfelt.  PIP is like a second home to me and I feel the warmth and love instantly every time I visit here.  Although I am far in distance, the words I read and the friends I've made here make the distance disappear.  I'm so pleased you found your way here and I wish you many happy times here.

Take care......Sue

Oh, Marge, thanks so much for your sweet welcome and your loving comments. I feel like I'm really getting to know all of you sweet special people.

Scorpio, (very well said)...."they inspire those of us who are still circling the perimeter of poetry...as we search the way in". I welcome you to our newfound "famly", too.

Suetang, thank you so much for your sweet reply. Even though we are all far away in distance, it seems as though we're in each others living rooms, doesn't it?

Krissie, thanks for coming around today. I appreciate your comments.

Enchantress, sweet, loving lady, thank you so much for your sweet reply. I'm very pleased to be here.

Marti, thank you, dear friend. You are so sweet.

Ethel....this poem expressed exactly what I feel.  I'm new and I believe I've found a "home away from home".  I've found poems that touch me so deeply that my eyes fill with water.  I find inspiration in all who are here and all that they write.  Including you.  Thank you for sharing with us.

BTW,  you are lucky to have such a great love with Gary.  I hope I'm lucky enough to find that one day, but for now I live that love through your writing among many other writing I've read here.

Take care, I will see everyone around PIP.

Thank you so much, Steph for your sweet words. And  WELCOME  to our new found "home away from home". Isn't it wonderful here? I thought that my love for poetry was  enormous already, with my love of Classic Poems and all, but the poets here put such human touches to everything. And their comments to everyone are so heartfelt and real. I'm glad that you are a part of this "family of friends", too.
With Love To All,
Ethel

P.S. Oh, yes, I feel very blessed to have the wonderful love of a good man like my Gary. I hope that you, too, will find true love one day, too. Thanks again, Steph.
